The City of Ammon manages 13 parks spanning approximately 80 acres, along with recreation programming, McCowin Pool, and community events throughout the year. Whether you’re looking for a place to walk, a court to play on, or a program to join, Ammon’s parks and recreation offerings have something for everyone.

Our Parks
Ammon’s 12 parks offer a variety of amenities including playgrounds, sports fields, picnic shelters, walking trails, and more:
McCowin Pool opens the first Saturday of June during the Summer Kickoff celebration and operates through mid-August. The pool offers open swim, swimming lessons, and special events. A splash pad is also available during pool season.
The city is currently working with outside resources to determine a strategic approach toward developing a new pool facility.
Recreation Programs
Ammon’s recreation department offers programming for all ages:
Pickleball lessons, pickleball tournaments, and disc golf tournaments are also available throughout the year. Expanding programs in development include lap swim, aquacise, youth soccer, youth flag football, and ultimate frisbee tournaments.
Shelter Reservations
Picnic shelters are available for reservation at McCowin Park (1 shelter, 1 gazebo), Peterson Park (2 shelters), and Eagle Pointe Park (3 shelters).
